This 7-day Cairo, White Desert tour, Djara Cave & Fayoum Adventure is designed for travelers who want to experience Egypt beyond the classic routes. The journey combines world-famous ancient monuments with remote desert landscapes, unique geological sites, and authentic local culture.
The tour begins and ends in Cairo, allowing easy international connections while offering a complete Egyptian experience. In Cairo, guests explore the iconic Giza Pyramids, Great Sphinx, Saqqara, and the Grand Egyptian Museum, gaining deep insight into ancient Egyptian civilization.
From Cairo, the journey heads into the Western Desert, where adventure truly begins. Traveling by 4×4 vehicles, guests explore the dramatic landscapes of the Black Desert, Crystal Mountain, and the surreal formations of the White Desert. Nights are spent camping under the stars, offering a peaceful and unforgettable desert experience.
One of the tour’s highlights is the visit to Djara Cave, a rare and remote cave system featuring natural stalactites, stalagmites, and prehistoric rock formations. The adventure continues across the vast Abu Muharik Dunes, following ancient caravan routes once used by traders and nomads.
The journey then reaches Fayoum Oasis, home to the UNESCO-listed Wadi El Hitan (Valley of the Whales), where visitors walk among fossilized remains of ancient whales. Additional highlights include Wadi El Rayan waterfalls, Magic Lake, and traditional villages such as Tunis Village, known for its pottery and artisan workshops.
Meet and assist upon arrival at Cairo International Airport. Transfer by private air-conditioned vehicle to your hotel in Cairo, check in, and overnight in Cairo.
Breakfast at the hotel. At 08:00 AM, pick up and meet your professional tour guide. Begin a full-day tour visiting:
Lunch at a local restaurant. After lunch, visit the Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM). Return to the hotel and overnight in Cairo.
Early morning pick-up at 07:00 AM. Drive by private air-conditioned vehicle to Bahariya Oasis,Upon arrival, switch to 4x4 vehicles and begin the desert adventure:
Continue to the White Desert, famous for its unique chalk formations such as the Chicken and Mushroom rocks. Set up camp, enjoy dinner, and overnight camping in the White Desert.
Breakfast at the camp. Drive across the Karween Dunes toward the remote Djara Cave, known for its stalactites, stalagmites, and ancient rock carvings. Enjoy a picnic lunch in the desert. Continue driving approximately 50 km through golden sand dunes to reach the Abu Muharik Dunes. Before sunset, set up camp, enjoy dinner under the stars, and overnight camping in the desert.
Breakfast at the camp. Continue the desert safari across the Abu Muharik Dunes for about 70 km, then reconnect with the asphalt road before heading off-road again. Drive along Drab El Rayen, an ancient camel caravan route linking Upper Egypt with Cairo. Picnic lunch during the journey. Arrive in the Fayoum area, set up camp or transfer to accommodation (as per itinerary). Dinner and overnight.
Breakfast. Visit Wadi El Hitan (Valley of the Whales), a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Walk along the fossil trails and visit the Wadi El Hitan Museum. Continue to:
Lunch in Tunis Village, followed by a visit to the local pottery workshops. In the afternoon, drive back to Cairo. Transfer to the hotel, check in, and overnight in Cairo.
Breakfast at the hotel. Check out and transfer to Cairo International Airport for final departure.
