Next, travel 35 minutes (around 50 km) to Wadi El Hitan—a UNESCO World Heritage Site known as the Valley of the Whales. Here, you’ll hike among 40-million-year-old marine fossils and visit the fossil museum. After exploring, enjoy a delicious lunch in the desert setting.
The journey continues to the magical Magic Lake, where the scenery is perfect for photos. Later in the afternoon, arrive at the peaceful Samuel Dunes. Enjoy sandboarding on the golden slopes and watch the sun set over the dunes before enjoying dinner under the stars. You’ll camp overnight in the desert with everything set up for a relaxing and safe experience.
On the second day, wake early to witness the stunning desert sunrise and enjoy a hearty breakfast. Afterwards, head to El Madawra Mountain, where you’ll enjoy a short hike and panoramic views of the Fayoum oasis. It’s the perfect spot for capturing beautiful moments.
Your final stop is in Tunis Village, Fayoum, known for its traditional pottery and arts. Visit a local pottery workshop, stroll through the charming streets, and immerse yourself in the laid-back village atmosphere.
Get ready for an unforgettable desert escape! At 7:30 AM, meet our guide at your hotel and set off on a scenic drive to Fayoum (1.5 hours). Start your journey with a quick 20-minute drive to Wadi El Rayan—home to Egypt’s only waterfall! Spend 30 minutes exploring and snapping photos before driving through the desert for an off-road adventure to Wadi El Hitan (35 minutes, 50 km). Walk through the ancient fossil valley, hike among prehistoric wonders, and visit the Wadi El Hitan Museum. Enjoy a delicious lunch here before continuing to the Magic Lake for breathtaking views.
As the sun starts to set, head to the serene Samuel Dunes. Here, you’ll enjoy sandboarding, a sunset you’ll never forget, and a night under the stars with dinner and camping in the desert.
Rise early to catch the magical sunrise and enjoy a hearty breakfast. Afterward, leave Samuel Dunes and head back to Wadi El Rayan to visit El Madawra Mountain. Take a free walk, climb the mountain, and enjoy the stunning views—perfect for special photos!
The journey wraps up with a visit to the charming Tunis Village, where you’ll explore a local pottery workshop. Return to Cairo by 1 PM, filled with amazing memories from your desert adventure.
