Start your journey with a pick-up from your Cairo hotel by a modern, air-conditioned vehicle, heading to Cairo Airport for your flight to Luxor. Upon arrival, your personal Egyptologist tour guide from Desert Cruise Travel will accompany you to the renowned Karnak Temple, the largest place of worship ever constructed. Known in ancient times as Ipet-isut, meaning "the most sacred of places," this complex was built over more than two thousand years by successive pharaohs. Within the great Hypostyle Hall, you'll find an incredible forest of giant pillars. Enjoy lunch at a quality restaurant before visiting the majestic Luxor Temple, built by Amenhotep III and Ramses II for rituals and festivals, dedicated to the god Amun. After some free time for shopping in Luxor, you’ll be driven to your hotel for check-in, where you can enjoy a leisurely evening. Overnight in Luxor.
After a relaxing breakfast at your hotel, your guide will take you to the West Bank of the Nile River. Here, you’ll see the colossal statues of Amenhotep III (Colossi of Memnon) and explore the Valley of the Kings, home to magnificent tombs carved deep into the desert rock, richly decorated and filled with treasures for the pharaohs' afterlife. You’ll visit three tombs before continuing to the impressive Hatshepsut Temple at El Deir El Bahary. This stunning temple, dedicated to Queen Hatshepsut, the only female pharaoh, rises from the desert plain in a series of terraces and merges seamlessly with the surrounding limestone cliffs. Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant, then embark on a felucca to Banana Island on the Nile River. Finally, transfer to Luxor Airport for your flight back to Cairo, where a Desert Cruise Travel representative will meet you and transfer you by private, air-conditioned van to your Cairo hotel.
