Frequently asked questions

How do we reach Kalabsha Temple, and is the boat ride safe?

Kalabsha Temple is located on an island near the western edge of the Aswan High Dam. To reach it, your private driver will take you to the local marina, where you will board a brief, 10 to 15-minute motorboat ride across Lake Nasser. All private boats utilized for our tours strictly adhere to modern safety regulations and carry standard life jackets.

How long does this full-day tour take?

The entire experience takes roughly 5 to 6 hours from door to door. You will spend about 2 hours exploring the island monument of Kalabsha and another 2 to 2.5 hours uncovering the indoor galleries and outdoor gardens of the Nubian Museum, leaving your late afternoon open for relaxation or a Nile felucca cruise.

Is this tour suitable for visitors who want to avoid large crowds?

Absolutely. In fact, Kalabsha Temple is widely considered one of Aswan's best-kept secrets. Because it is accessible only by water and sits slightly outside the main downtown hub, it receives a fraction of the daily visitors compared to sites like Philae Temple, offering a quiet, serene environment for photography and deep historical exploration.
