Salalah is the capital city of southern Oman’s Dhofar province. It is the second largest city in the Sultanate of Oman. It’s known for its frankincense trees and banana plantations, Arabian Sea beaches with long pristine white sand beach, clear waters teeming with sea life, and a stunning landscape. The Frankincense Land Museum, part of the Al Baleed Archaeological Site, recounts the city’s maritime history and role in the spice trade.
