A Desert Cruise Travel representative will pick you up from your hotel in Cairo and drive you to Alexandria for an amazing day trip. Your first stop will be Pompey’s Pillar, built in the 4th century to honor Emperor Diocletian. It was originally part of the Serapis temple, once a grand structure. Next, you'll visit the Catacombs, the largest Roman cemetery with three levels carved into the rock. Afterward, enjoy lunch at a local restaurant in Alexandria. Then, we'll visit the Qaitbay Citadel, built on the site of Alexandria's ancient lighthouse. The final stop will be the Bibliotheca Alexandrina. After the tour, we will drive you back to Cairo.
